Day 33 - 1,926 Miles To Date - Dodge City, KS

Today was awesome, everything in our favor...except that we're still in Kansas. Tail wind, 75 degrees, flat, fun group (including Draper's speaker.) We biked 80 miles into Dodge City by 1:30pm, I repeat 80 miles by 1:30pm. We're staying at the local fire house tonight which is a change and pretty cool. Tomorrow I think we're heading out a bit early to get our century over before we celebrate and watch some fireworks for 4th of July. We have a lot of festivities planned so I doubt I'll have time to blog tomorrow, but we do have a rest day in Syracuse on the 5th so I will definitely take some time to do that. I believe we are also getting a police escort into town tomorrow as we are decked out in our America gear. As I said before, everyone is really pumped for tomorrow and I have a feeling waking up and biking 100 miles will not be a problem because of the adrenaline. I can't believe we're almost to 2000 miles (I did count the shuttling and some of my van driving days, I believe I have 1500 on my actual odometer, BUT STILL.) I think we start to see the tips of the Rockies and that it is also geographically halfway once we leave Syracuse and cross the state line into Colorado. I'm so excited for Colorado!! More to come post 4th of July, everyone have a fun and safe holiday.
